  • You want to start with an objective.  A resume objective is a statement of your goals for employment. The most effective objective is the one which is specific about the position and type of employment desired.

To work for a medical transcription company that pays well, does not run out of work, treats its employees well and, in return, is looking for an employee who has high production and high accuracy, never misses a day of work, and who is willing to help out when works gets behind.

Remember that if you’re earlier work experience wasn’t in medical transcription, keep the resume short and try and focus on things that are related to medical transcription such as typing, computer work, scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, handling incoming and outgoing mail, organize and schedule meetings, work independently and without need for on-site supervision, etc. when listing your description.
